About PITA

The Provincial Intermediate Teachers’ Association is one of BCTF's largest Professional Specialists’ Associations
PITA helps teachers through:
• Annual October Conference, last held at North Delta Secondary School on October 21 & 22, 2011
• Annual mini-conferences in Prince George (District ProD Day - March 9/12) and Whistler (April 20/12) and sometimes in Kelowna.
• Newsletters mailed to members full of tips and lesson ideas
• Resources on our website such as chapter summaries and tests for over 250 novels and lesson plans and strategies posted by presenters and teachers
• The Year of Professional Support program for early career teachers
• Advocacy for Intermediate and Middle School teachers


Membership fees:

  • TOC and Student Teacher $15.00
  • BCTF Active Members $35.00
  • Subscriber: $57.50
